Department of Korean Studies
Korean Studies open doors to the language and the history, society and culture of a dynamic nation standing at the centre of Northeast Asia. Whether you have been swept along by the ‘Korean wave’ or are intrigued by Korea’s strategic position or long history of cultural accomplishments, learning Korean is a rewarding experience that will equip you with communication skills and give you an in-depth knowledge of the history, culture and society of this fascinating nation.
Catering for all levels of student from beginner to native speaker, we train you to function competently in the globalising world, preparing you for successful engagement in Korea-related fields including employment in the public service, business, academic and the cultural spheres.
The School of Languages and Cultures (SLC) currently has opportunities available for sessional tutors. We are looking for motivated teaching staff who are interested in casual work during semester. Our School offers the widest range of language and culture studies in Australia. As a sessional tutor at the University of Sydney you will have the chance to work alongside world class academics.
