Korean Studies

Immersed in the language and culture of Korea

Established in 1991, we are one of the first and longest standing Korean disciplines in the country.

Utilising the specialist knowledge of our academic staff, we have maintained distinctive strengths in teaching and research in history, culture and society, media and communication, language and literature, and Korean values and thought.

We provide students with a broad foundation in Korea-related fields, encompassing not only language skills but also a range of units such as Korean history, linguistics, culture and society, translation and interpretation, and media and communications.
