Recommended Marketing Major Pathways for BA (Media and Communications) students

Many MECO students undertake marketing as a second major on top of their Table A major. To make this choice easier we have worked with the Marketing discipline to put together an advice sheet. Some important points to note are:

  • From 2014, MKTG1001 & MMKTG2112 run in both semesters. This means you can commence your marketing major in either first or second semester.
  • Marketing only has one junior unit. Furthermore, the only pre-requisite for Senior marketing units is MKTG1001. This means you can do senior Marketing units in second semester of your first year.
  • After the junior pre-requisite, the Marketing units are not in a fixed sequence, with the exception of MKTG3118.
