MECO3672 - Internship Project

Semester 2, 2014  |  Credit Points: 6

Coordinator: Joseph Carl Linden Brennan
Email: joseph.brennan@sydney.edu.au

Description

A follow-up to MECO3671 Media and Communications Internship, this unit of study focuses on the integration of the vocational aspects of the internship with high-level research skills. MECO3672 is based around the production of a critical research essay drawn from issues encountered during and after the internship. Students are required to attend a 'cycle' of four seminars, which represents a structured process to draw on their experience, and discuss and refine their research approaches and questions with their peers. Students will need to submit documentation of their research question and approach before submitting their essay. Facilitated by the unit of study coordinator, the aim is for students to refine their research and writing skills in order to produce a high-level research essay.
