Dr Anita Wenden
Anita Wenden is co-founder of Earth and Peace Education International www.globalepe.org Director of Peace Education and Research for the organization, editor of Transitions, its electronic educational resource. She is Professor Emerita of York College, City University of New York, where she co-founded and served as director of the College’s Cultural Diversity Program. She has also taught at the UN mandated University for Peace (Costa Rica) and is founder and book review editor of the Journal of Peace Education www.tandf.co.uk She is the main NGO representative for the International Peace Research Association at UN headquarters in New York City, where she convenes the NGO Committee on Social Development’s Working Group on Poverty and Climate Change www.ngosocdev.net Her recent publications will appear in Climate Change and Human Wellbeing, Weissbecker (Ed.)
