Martijn Konings’s new book ‘The Emotional Logic of Capitalism: What Progressives Have Missed’ (Stanford University Press) is coming out in May 2015. According to Adam Morton, the Chair of Department of Political Economy, ‘this book advances a new understanding of the semiotics of money and the genealogy of economy, with a view to uncovering the paradoxical sources of cohesion and legitimacy that neoliberal capitalism commands’.
