Description
This unit of study examines the gender dynamics of the global economic system, both within and between rich and poor countries. What are the main gender issues in the West and in developing countries? What roles do markets, public policy, culture, and individual choice play in shaping women's and men's options and outcomes? What are the relationships between women in rich countries and women in poor countries? Case studies from around the world are used to explore these questions.
