The Ethics Network - Our Research Program

The Ethics Network has initiated a continuing program of research on ethical concepts and issues to be undertaken over coming months. Any researcher, teacher or practitioner in ethics who wishes to contribute is welcome...Contact The Coordinator.

The program has undertaken research seeking to identify and make public world's best practice in:

Concepts in Ethical Theory The Concepts See our website:

Teaching and Training in Ethics The Teaching
Codes of Ethics
Public Interest Disclosures The Practice
Building an Ethical Culture

Subsequent research programs will depend on interest and support but will include:

  • Duty of care. The ethical obligation in the workplace and elsewhere to ensure that sufficient care is taken to avoid or minimise the risk of loss of life, harm or financial damage to others

  • The Law and Ethics

  • Ethics, the environment and future generations

 The Research lion

The Network is concentrating on empirical research that has an impact on ethical practices, and on disseminating the results of that research. Research on ethical theory will be concerned about concepts that guide decisions on behaviour. The research will be, for the most part, applicable across all disciplines.
