Biographical details

Born in Montevideo, Uruguay, she completed her tertiary studies in Australia with a PhD in Spanish and Latin American Studies at UNSW. Her academic career has centred around the development and implementation of Spanish and Latin American programs at various Australian universities.

Research interests

Her research interests are multidisciplinary and include history, memory and politics; ethnic, gender and national identities; social inclusion, urban security; transitional justice and human rights.

Current projects

  • Cities, urban security and development.
  • Amnesties and the Judicialisation of Politics.
