Biographical details

GIOVANNI CARSANIGA was nominated Emeritus Professor of Italian on his retirement from teaching in July 2000. He will continue his research activities in language and literature, in particular Romantic Literature and History of Language ('Questione della lingua'). He is the author of numerous works on Italian literature, especially the Romantic Period, as well as a of number of language teaching programs.
