Health, Sexuality, Population: A Symposium to Welcome Professor Simon Szreter

This symposium welcomes Simon Szreter, Professor of History and Public Policy, Cambridge University, visiting professor at the University of Sydney until May 2013. Professor Szreter is distinguished author of Fertility, class and gender in Britain 1860-1940 (1996); Health and Wealth. Studies in History and Policy (2005); Sex Before the Sexual Revolution: Intimate Life in England
1918-1963 (co-authored with K.Fisher) (2010), and founder of the History & Policy website.

As keynote lecture, Simon Szreter will be presenting his current research: ‘Fertility, sex and disease in modern British history’.

Simon Szreter will be joined by Warwick Anderson, Alison Bashford, Barbara Brookes, Frank Bongiorno, Barbara Caine, Ivan Crozier, Rebecca Kippen, Ricardo Roque, Ted McCormick, Janet McCalman, Hamish Maxwell-Stewart.
