Orientation at Dusk

Orientation at Dusk

Starting university late or unable to attend your Undergraduate Orientation during Orientation Week due to work or other commitments? You should instead attend Orientation at Dusk, an alternative orientation program held during the evening in Week 1, which will set you up for academic, professional and personal success throughout your studies.

At Orientation for Dusk, you’ll access exclusive talks from experts across the University of Sydney, complete a series of workshops that will build your academic skills, and network with other new students, senior student leaders and staff over food and refreshments.

Orientation at Dusk is on in Week 1, on Thursday 2 August, from 5.15pm to 7.30pm.

You’ll be prepared for success by:

  • Gaining knowledge about your degree, your field of study, and the opportunities available to you as a student in the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences
  • Developing practical skills in university-level writing, academic planning, career development and more and tour our library.
  • Building your networks, meeting new people and becoming an active part of our community
  • Learning from the experience of our senior student leaders

Within Orientation at Dusk, we offer tailored programs for:

  • Local undergraduate students
  • International undergraduate students
  • Postgraduate coursework students
