Dr Lee Stickells
Dr Lee Stickells is a Senior Lecturer in the Faculty of Architecture, Design and Planning at the University of Sydney. He teaches in architectural design, urban design and the architectural humanities and is the Director of the University of Sydney’s Master of Architecture program. His research interests include the architectural humanities, conceptual relationships between architecture and the city, and critical histories of urban design paradigms.
Stickells has held academic appointments at the University of the West of England, Curtin University, University of Strathclyde, TU Eindhoven, University of Bath, University of Technology, Sydney, and the University of South Australia. He is co-editor of the book The Right to the City (Tin Sheds Gallery 2011) and has contributed to anthologies including Beyond Utopia (2012), Trash Culture (2010), and Heterotopia and the City (2009). Stickells is currently co-editor of the journal Architectural Theory Review and an advisory board member of the not-for-profit organisation MAKE SPACE for ARCHITECTURE.
