Recent winner of the 2012 Prime Minister's Literary Award (Interferon Psalms), Luke Davies is the author of three novels (most recently God of Speed), a children's book, Magpie, five volumes of poetry, and the screenplay Candy. He has two screenplays in development with The King's Speech producers: Life, about the friendship between James Dean and Life magazine photographer Dennis Stock; and an adaptation of the espionage thriller Los Alamos. He is a film critic for The Monthly. He was born and raised in Sydney, and earned a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Sydney.
