Dr Tony Moore
Dr Tony Moore is a writer, historian and academic. He has a PhD in Australian cultural history from the University of Sydney and is a senior lecturer at and director of the National Centre for Australian Studies, Monash University. His career has spanned political activism, documentary making at the ABC, journalism and book publishing.
He writes regularly on communications, history and politics in the press and in scholarly publications. Tony's research interests include cinema, independent media and creative industries, public broadcasting, popular music, youth subcultures and artistic bohemia. He is the author of the Barry McKenzie Movies, Death or Liberty and Dancing with Empty Pockets.
