Sessions 1, 3 and 5 run for two hours each including one hour plenary session and one hour group session (intervened by refreshments). In the group sessions, discussion is facilitated by expert teaching staff from each of the represented schools. This provides you with an opportunity to discuss issues with your peers, and explore the ways in which they relate to their own teaching practice and experience.
Sessions 2 and 4 (two hours each) are blended learning sessions, involving training with online course components, including online assessment. These sessions are led by the Faculty's educational designers who are experts in the educational and technical aspects of online learning. There are multiple sessions in the Transient Building Computer Lab on each date at 10-12, 12-2 and 2-4. You will be required to choose your sessions when enrolling in TDP.
Session 6, the final session, is a one hour plenary session only, followed by refreshments. As part of the final session all participants must complete a short online teaching reflection (through the TDP blackboard site) within one week (by Friday 4 May).
If you are unable to attend all of the sessions this semester, you may complete the missed session when the course is run again next semester. Once you have completed all six sessions, you will be issued with a certificate.
