The way we research and write is changing quickly. The emergence of generative AI presents new challenges and opportunities for us all.
In late 2023, TEQSA released a guidance paper on generative AI in the classroom, ‘Assessment reform for the age of artificial intelligence’, which identified two guiding principles for assessments in the AI age: that they equip students to research and use AI actively and ethically and that through diverse assessment over a program overall assessment design can allow for trustworthy judgements about student learning.
The DVCE’s Educational Innovation team has incorporated these principles into a refreshed approach to assessment across the University.

This semester Equity students had the opportunity to connect professionally and socially with one another and with alumni.
The ArtSS Career Ready Panel, presented in collaboration with the Career Centre gave students a chance to ask their questions and practice their networking.
The Equity Picnic also allowed students to take a break from their studies and connect with one another over craft and snacks.
