We are delighted to officially launch the Faculty's new (and first ever) Global Engagement Strategy for 2025-2030. Over the past year, we have consulted widely with colleagues across the Faculty on current student mobility opportunities and how to develop them in line with the Faculty's Strategic Plan 2024-2025 and the University's 2032 Strategy. The Faculty's Global Engagement Strategy provides an intentional path to consolidate the range of international opportunities for students both abroad and at home, making the FASS degrees more attractive to both domestic and international students. One primary focus of the new Strategy is to ensure that all FASS students have an opportunity to incorporate an international experience in their degree, and to lift participation from the current 33% of the graduating cohort, to 50% by the end of the Strategy's term. That requires an integrated, sustained and systemic approach, from initiatives around promotion and awareness, to guidance in the form of pre-selected units of study for exchange. There is much more of interest in the Strategy that we can't cover in detail here such as dual degrees, joint PhDs, not to mention the development of new FASS International Communities. Read more
