The neurophysiology facility enables the study of electroencephalography (EEG) and event-related potentials (ERP) that inform researchers about how a person’s brain idles and responds to various stimuli.
The facility is a dedicated EEG laboratory comprising a 64-channel EEG cap that has 64 different recording sites across the scalp, a SynAmps2 amplifier for detecting subtle electrical signals from the scalp, as well as Neuroscan and Presentation software for recording EEG data and synchronising the delivery of sounds or images being presented to the subject.
