Biographical details
Professor Pollard has an international reputation in the fields of neuropathy and multiple sclerosis. He was Bushell Professor of Neurology, University of Sydney until 2008 and remains Co-Director of the Nerve Research Foundation and a Director of the Brain Mind Research Institute. He is a member of the steering Committee of the World Federation of Neurology and a past-board member of the Peripheral Nerve Society. He remains Deputy Chairman of the Advisory Board of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society of Australia and Chairman of the MS Interest Group within Australian and New Zealand Association of Neurology. In 2005 he was awarded an AO for his contributions to neurology and in particular to multiple sclerosis. He is also a Board member of the Institute of Neuromuscular Research at the Childrens Hospital, Westmead.
