Recognition of Prior Learning - Master of Commerce

Recognition of prior learning and work experience can mean a reduction in the number of units required to complete a Master of Commerce Degree. You could save up to a year of full-time study, and complete your degree in just 12 months.

Applicants who wish to be considered for recognition of prior learning need to submit a CV and references to cover minimum 3 years business experience with their application for admission to the programs.

Prior Academic Background RPL

Completed Bachelor's degree (pass) or Graduate Certificate in Business/Commerce discipline

24 credit points / one semester

Completed Bachelor's degree in Non-Business/Commerce discipline

0 credit points

Completed Bachelor's degree (honours), higher degree in research, Coursework Master's degree or Graduate Diploma in Business/Commerce discipline

48 credit points / two semesters

Completed Bachelor's degree (honours), higher degree in research, Coursework Master's degree, Graduate Diploma or Graduate Certificate in Non-Business/Commerce discipline

24 credit points / one semester

Incomplete Coursework Master's degree, Graduate Diploma or Graduate Certificate in Business/Commerce discipline

48 credit points / two semesters

Incomplete Coursework Master's degree or Graduate Diploma in Non-Business/Commerce discipline

0 credit points

Certified professional work experience of at least 3 years' duration (full-time equivalent) in business/commerce and deemed by the Business School to have conferred a depth of learning equivalent to that of a Graduate Certificate in Business/Commerce

24 credit points / one semester

A maximum of 48 credit points/two semesters of RPL is available. The information in this table is to be used as a guide only. RPL credit is granted at the discretion of the Program Director.
