Why did you choose to study at the University of Sydney Business School?
Its one of most prestigious and I was lucky enough to win a postgraduate scholarship to study there.
What is your most favourite memory from your time at the University?
My graduation ceremony. I felt so proud.
What does being a University of Sydney Business School alumnus/na mean to you?
As an alumni, the University of Sydney reached out to me and offered its friendship and support once my studies finished. Like all good friendships, it goes both ways and stays with you forever.
How did your time at the Business School change you both professionally and personally?
It expanded my global understanding of business practice and theory and matured my professional presence and expertise. It also gave me a whole new set of friends and business acquaintances.
What did you do in the year immediately after graduating?
Moved roles. I was headhunted to a corporate role within weeks of graduating.
What has been the greatest accomplishment of your career to date?
Taking the leap out of my corporate career and setting up a business that I believed in.
What business person inspired you most?
I'm most inspired by the women who have been the first in their fields whether that's science, sport, politics or business. They were the brave ones who bucked the system and refused to take no for an answer. Some of the earliest women admitted to the University of Sydney fit this mould - Jane Foss Russell, Dagmar Berne, Fanny Hunt, Agnes Bennett and many more.
What are some of your favourite things about Sydney?
The harbour, the beaches, the sports, the weather.
What would you say to a prospective student who is considering study at the Business School?
Just do it! You'll never regret it.
