Services For Employers

MBA Program recruitment options

Posting jobs

Our secure jobs board is provided to current and past University of Sydney MBA students in Australia.

If you'd like to promote a vacant position on the jobs board please login to our MBA Career Services Manager Symplicity.

This service is free, and all advertised positions must be approved and appropriate for our students in terms of remuneration, level and title.

By advertising your vacancies here, you have the opportunity to not only advertise your brand, but also gain access to our sought-after MBA students.

Request access to our Resume Book database

Our complimentary Resume Books are designed to help you identify and make contact with individuals who fit the profile you are looking to hire. In this way, you can better target your recruitment efforts.

Connect with alumni clubs and associations

Get in touch with the MBA eMBAssy club to advertise specific job opportunities or express your interest in sponsorship of events. Targeting a select group of students is a great way for you to recruit and build your brand profile on campus.

Host a company meeting or special event

For a prestigious, well-run central Sydney location in which to run a special event or a company meeting, look no further than the University of Sydney CBD Campus. Our facility offers a superb setting for corporate functions, with world class amenities.

Your recruitment strategy

Every organisation has different goals and objectives. This is an important factor we keep in mind when building relationships and recruiting at the University of Sydney Business School.

We will work with you to create a strategy that suits your exact needs and will help you to attain your recruiting objectives. Helping you focus on the right approach can build visibility with our students and effectively market your job opportunities.

Tailored recruitment at the University of Sydney

No two recruitment initiatives are the same and our Careers and Corporate Relations Manager will focus on developing a plan with you and your organisation that directly correlates to your recruiting goals.

CBD Campus recruiting

Recruiting from the student body at our CBD Campus is an efficient and effective way to hire eligible students from our Evening MBA and Weekend MBA programs. Our first MBA graduates were available from mid-2015 and profiles can be found in our Resume Books by emailing lisa.tarry@sydney.edu.au

Recruiting resources

As a potential employer, you can take advantage of wide variety of resources. When planning your recruitment strategy, make use of the following:

  • On-campus brand presence: Our Careers and Employer Relations Manager can help your company build a campus presence that will help your company be front of mind for our MBA students.
  • Online Technology: Symplicity is our MBA Career Services Manager that supports the recruiting process, helping to connect corporate partners with our MBA students and alumni. • Video conferencing services: We can further facilitate real-time interviews between employers and MBA students through our video conferencing facilities at the CBD Campus. For more information, please contact the Careers and Employer Relations Manager.

Events

Networking events

You can book any event through Symplicity, our MBA Career Services Manager by creating an account. There are several different types of events that you can host. We are happy to tailor something to suit your specific requirements, or you are welcome to participate in a Corporate Conversation and put forward business leaders to speak at our Speaker Series, run throughout the year.

Corporate Conversations

Corporate Conversations are an excellent way to tell students about your organisation and explain what it has to offer from a career perspective. These forums give students the opportunity to understand your company’s culture, and what makes it a unique organisation to work for.

Speaker Series

The Speaker Series is a platform for leaders to share their career journeys with aspiring students. By describing the nuances of individual career paths, speakers can provide job seekers with valuable insights, realistic expectations, and ideas on how best to structure their career management plan to reach their goals.

If you have any questions, or if you need help to schedule an event, please contact our Careers and Corporate Relations Manager.
