The Graduate Certificate in Marketing is relevant for qualified professionals who wish to complete a short program to update their skills and knowledge in Marketing.
Please Note: This course is for pre-2010 continuing students. Students who commenced their degree prior to 2010 should also refer to the course structure, available specialisation subject areas and resolutions in the faculty handbook for the year they commenced. Archived downloadable faculty handbooks can be accessed on the Handbooks website.
Course requirements
To be awarded the Graduate Certificate in Marketing, students must successfully complete a total of four units of study (24 credit points), comprising:
- one core unit of study (six credit points)
- three elective units of study (18 credit points)
Core unit of study
Students must complete the following core unit of study prior to enrolling in all elective units offered in this program.
- MKTG5001 Marketing Principles
This unit is the prerequisite for all other 'MKTG' coded units of study.
Elective units of study
Students select three units from the following options:

Professional recognition
The Graduate Certificate in Marketing has been recognised by the Australian Marketing Institute (AMI). This course will assist a person in being eligible for associate membership of the Australian Marketing Institute and contribute towards the educational qualifications under the Certified Practising Marketer (CPM) program.
