As such, this unit of study has been designed to: first, extend the substantive knowledge of students in relation to financial accounting by examining emerging/advanced issues in relation to theory and practice; second, introduce students to different ways of conducting accounting research, considering extant research mobilising a variety of epistemologies and research methods; and, third, assist students to identify potential topic areas for research and appropriate research questions. The course will be based on a series of readings drawn from the accounting research literature. |
