| Description | A starting point for the analysis of any business problem is the setting up of a model, in which the various inputs and decision variables are represented, as well as the outcomes of interest. The most basic tool to achieve this is a spreadsheet. This unit will show how to use spreadsheets to model a wide array of business problems drawn from business areas such as marketing, accounting and finance. Students taking this unit will learn the skills required for effective modelling using spreadsheets and will become familiar with a full range of spreadsheet capabilities. |
