| Description | This unit of study provides a critical examination of the concept of \\\'strategy\\\' in the management of organisations beginning with an examination of different approaches to strategy and strategic management and the development of strategic management as an academic discipline. It also provides an understanding of the interplay between the external environment and industry environment and the organisation. It enables students to apply concepts of strategic management to a range of case studies in order to explore the practical application of strategic management models. |
