Additional Information This unit is not available for students enrolled in the Master of Labour Law Relations
Lectures 1x 2hr lecture and 1x 1hr tutorial per week
Assessment presentation (20%), essay (30%), final exam (40%), tutorial participation (10%)
Description This unit of study examines the legal framework with respect to labour relations in Australia. In particular it examines the scope of industrial law, the employment relationship, the Federal-State division of legislative power in industrial relations and the industrial arbitration systems, courts, tribunals, agreements and awards. Current developments in the law and politics of the systems will be referred to throughout the course.
