Permission to Amend Enrolment Status

Discontinue Not to Count as Failure (DNF) grade carries no academic penalty, but students remain liable for HECS or fees for the units of study. For 2012 the DNF deadline specified by the University are 27 April in semester 1 and 14 September in semester 2.

DNF grade after the census date is only available to students with serious illness or misadventure which prevented the students from continuing their studies.

DNF grades are not available to students who have attempted and failed assessment tasks in the unit of study for which DNF is sought.

If you have experienced serious illness or misadventure and wish to apply at this late stage of semester, you are required to submit the Permission to Amend Enrolment Status Form and a letter outlining the reason for your request with supporting documents to the Student Information Office.
