'Graduation' refers to the formal conferral of awards either at a ceremony or in absentia. Students who have completed all the requirements of their award course are eligible to graduate.
Students do not need to apply to graduate.¿¿ Each semester, the Business School will contact all students who appear to be about to complete their studies to request confirmation of degree and major/specialisation details. The School will also contact any student who will complete enough credit points for their award course but who may not be eligible to graduate for any reason (not completed all compulsory units or not completed a required major or specialisation, for example).
Students who plan to upgrade or transfer course instead of graduating, or who wish to downgrade course to graduate early (for example, from a combined degree to a single degree or a Masters to a Graduate Diploma or Graduate Certificate) should apply online on Sydney Student for a course transfer before the end of their final semester of study.
Students who successfully complete their award course will be able to access a letter of completion in Sydney Student soon after the release of final results.
