About the speaker

Christian is the head of quantitative research at RF Capital, the family office for Andrew Roberts. He is responsible for all aspects of quantitative research, specialising in manager selection and portfolio construction. Prior to joining RF Capital, Christian worked for the United Nations (UN) and Southern Group. As an investment management consultant for the UN in Rome, Christian traded fixed income instruments and managed a USD6 billion portfolio. At Southern Group in London, Christian was responsible for commercial real estate finance broking. Christian holds a Doctor of Philosophy from the University of Sydney in Volatility Modelling, a Masters of Science from the University of London in Quantitative Finance and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University of Reading (1st Class Honours). Christian’s research work on incorporating high-frequency data to forecast volatility has been published in Applied Stochastic Models in Business and Industry.
