Research Facilities

The University of Sydney is Australia's finest research university, offering an exceptional environment for research and research training.

There is a network of 18 subject specialist libraries spread across the University's campuses. It is the largest university library network in Australia, holding more than five million books, periodicals and audiovisual items. The major library on main campus, Fisher, contains significant collections relevant to the work of the Faculty.

The Faculty of Economics and Business provides a modern Research Centre with 24-hour access for the exclusive use of our research students. The Centre has 55 lock-up carrels and 55 workstations, 3 hot desks for casual use, photocopying and printing facilities as well as a large lounge and kitchen area.

In the Merewether building there are also 400 computer terminals available which are connected to the campus broadband network. Students are able to access research resources such as computer packages, securities price files, company annual reports, historical records, legal services and stock exchange services. Postgraduate students may obtain 24-hour access to the computers situated in the Merewether building.
