May is a professional actor, with many years experience in theatre, film and television. She graduated from Toi Whakaari, the New Zealand National Drama School with a Diploma in Performance. Over the past 25 years she has used her theatre practice extensively in the field of organisational change and development throughout Australia, New Zealand, South East Asia, Europe and the United States. This work prompted her to seek a deeper theoretical understanding of the nature of organisations, culture, work and employment and she pursued a Masters of HR & IR at the University of Sydney Business School, graduating in 2015.
