ACPHIS Information Systems Doctoral Thesis Award
Congratulations to Dr Susan Keyes-Pearce who has been awarded the 2006 Australian Council of Professors and Heads of Information Systems (ACPHIS) PhD Medal. This medal is awarded each year for the best Australian PhD thesis.
Susan completed her PhD in 2006 at the Faculty of Economics and Business in the Discipline of Business Information Systems, her supervisors were Prof Steve Elliot and Assoc. Prof Sue Williams. Susan's thesis title is IT Value Management in Leading Firms: The Fit Between Theory and Practice.
Extract from the letter to Susan from the President of ACPHIS, Prof. Graeme Pervan:"This thesis was the unanimous choice as the best Australian Information Systems PhD for 2005/2006. It was a study of IT value management theory and practice using the case study research method. It was very well written with sound structure and well substantiated analysis and discussion. It was interesting and highly relevant and madea significant conceptual contribution."
The award was presented to Susan at the Australian Conference on Information Systems 2006 conference dinner.
