ITLS moves to the centre of business in Sydney

17 Dec 2012

From Monday 17 December 2012 ITLS will be located in the heart of Sydney's central business district, at St James Campus on Phillip Street. ITLS will occupy Levels 11 and 13 of 173-175 Phillip Street, as well as taking over the state-of-the-art teaching spaces on Level 1 of the same building.

On Level 1 our students will benefit from two modern tiered lecture theatres with the latest audio visual equipment and individual desk mounted power points for student laptops. There is also a brand new computer laboratory with printing facilities and extended access hours, a student common room with lounges, computers for browsing and printing facilities, and a quiet room with desks for students to work on group projects or practice presentations. Free Wi-Fi is available throughout Level 1.

As well as staff offices on Levels 11 and 13 there is a modern lecture room for smaller classes, a conference room and meeting room with impressive views over Hyde Park, offices for our lecturers from industry and visiting lecturers from universities around the world, as well as a library and study rooms for students in our growing doctoral program.

ITLS' new home at St James Campus is in easy walking distance from the head offices of many Australian and international companies, next door to several government authorities and across the road from the NSW Supreme Court and the Federal Court of Australia. Many of Sydney's most famous historical buildings are nearby as are the Royal Botanic Gardens, Circular Quay and the Opera House. On the doorstep of the campus are numerous vibrant cafes and restaurants and the shopping districts of George, Market and Pitt Streets.

Getting there
St James Campus is a minute's walk from either Martin Place or St James Station or it can be accessed from any bus travelling to the city. It is also a short walk from ferries at Circular Quay. There are several parking stations in easy walking distance.
