Dr Matthew Beck wins 2017 Wayne Lonergan Award for Outstanding Teaching

The Wayne Lonergan Award for Outstanding Teaching recognises Dr Matthew Beck’s long-standing commitment to teaching excellence and his outstanding achievements as an educator. The award is sponsored by Wayne Lonergan, founder and director of the specialist valuation firm, Edwards and Associates Limited. The prize money is provided to fund teaching related resources or professional development. Dr Beck was also recognized for his teaching contribution through the Dean’s Citation For Teaching awarded for his unit MMGT6012 Business Tools for Management in Semester 2 2016.

Demonstrating a whole of discipline commitment to world class learning and teaching, ITLS academics regularly receive the Dean’s Citation for Teaching for their effectiveness in delivering their units of study. This citation reflects the outcome of the unit of study survey which is completed by students at the end of each unit. These teaching awards are presented by the Dean of the Business School at the annual staff presentation ceremony.

ITLS teaches postgraduate units of study in logistics and supply chain management, transport and infrastructure, and aviation and maritime logistics and management, in the Master of Logistics and Supply Chain Management and Master of Commerce programs including the embedded Graduate Diploma and Graduate Certificate courses.
