Chi-Hong (Patrick) joined ITLS in 2010 as a PhD student and completed his doctoral thesis entitled as 'A longitudinal study on the linkage between public transport demand and land use characteristics: a pseudo panel approach' in 2013. Prior to joining ITLS, he completed his Bachelor of Civil Engineering at National Cheng Kung University in 2006 and Master of Science (major in Transportation Engineering) at National Taiwan University in 2008. Patrick extended his background in transport economics with his Master's research which focussed on the economic behaviour and efficiency of Taipei Mass Rapid Transit which in turn led to pursuing his PhD in this field at ITLS. Patrick is now a Senior Research Analyst working with Professor Corinne Mulley in the public transport team of ITLS. His research expertise includes: Travel Demand Modelling, Transport Economics, Econometrics, GIS Analysis, and Public Transport Planning. His research has been presented at well-known international conferences and academic journals. His paper presented in the 35th Annual Australasian Transport Research Forum in 2012 won the David Willis Memorial Prize for the best paper conducted by a young professional at the conference.
