Jyotirmoyee is a Lecturer in Logistics and Supply Chain Management at ITLS. Her doctoral research focused on IT enabled interaction strategies in B2B relationships in value chain networks. Her research was supported by The University of Sydney Business School International Research Scholarship and supervised by Professor David Walters. Jyotirmoyee began her research career in Space Physics and later decided to bring her technical and analytical skills as well as full time work experience in systems administration into the area of information systems research. Her research has been published in space physics, information systems and supply chain conferences and journals. She received the Curtin Business School and WestInfo Services Award for the best postgraduate dissertation (2007) for her masters research and The Institute of Transport and Logistics Studies Prize for Research Excellence in Transport or Logistics (2011) for her doctoral research. Her current work with Professor Walters follows from her doctoral thesis and the increasing importance of value chain networks across industries and around the globe. She is also working with Dr Ada Ng on a consulting project for a major shipping line. Her teaching activities have spanned undergraduate units in astronomy and information systems and postgraduate units in information systems and value chain management. She is also co-supervising a Master of Logistics research project with Dr Ng.
