Learning and Teaching Committee (LTC)

The Learning and Teaching Committee (LTC) is chaired by the Associate Dean (Learning and Teaching), with a membership including academic staff from each discipline, Associate Deans and other senior members of the Business School and University.

The strategic priorities reflected in the Business School Learning and Teaching Plan for 2011-2014 are:

  1. Introduce an assurance of learning process at program level in all programs.
  2. Establish a holistic first year transition experience in the Bachelor and Master of Commerce that is ongoing throughout the first year and develops academic skills, models first year pedagogies, enables students to make social connections with the Faculty and each other and provides the basis for informed curriculum choices in later years.
  3. Recognise and reward the sharing and adaptation of effective learning and teaching practices within disciplines.
  4. Introduce standards-based assessment practice throughout all Faculty curricula in line with Academic Board expectations and accreditation requirements.
