Focus on Economics

200 enthusiastic Year 12 students hoping to follow in the footsteps of leading Australian economists such as Ross Gittins, Glenn Stevens and Heather Ridout converged on the University in June to attend the inaugural Faculty of Economics and Business 'Focus on Economics' Lecture.

One of the Faculty's senior economics lecturers, Dr David Kim, presented the students from various Sydney high schools with the latest thinking on some key economic concepts they are studying such as balance of payments and current account deficits. The Faculty plans to run similar lectures following the popularity of this event.
