The Brightest Minds Welcomed to the Business School
27 Aug 2011
The University of Sydney Business school welcomed 100 prospective students and their families at a business breakfast this morning as part of the University's annual Sydney Uni Live event.
Invited guests had the opportunity to meet current students and academics from the Business School as well as hear from Acting Dean of the Business School, Professor Tyrone Carlin and Associate Dean (undergraduate), Philip Seltsikas. Students intently listened to Professor Carlin's passionate welcome and to Associate Professor Seltsikas' advice about how a degree from the Business School provides wonderful foundation for a range of career options.
Students were particularly interested in the options available to them as part of the Industry Placement program and the support offered from Business School student services such as the Career and Employer Relations Office.
The University throws open its doors on the last weekend in August every year and offers thousands of students the chance to discover more about study opportunities and student life. From courses and career prospects, to clubs and societies, accommodation and student services - this public open day ensures all prospective student questions were answered.
In addition to the Business breakfast hundreds of prospective students from all over Australia visited the Business School's mini lecture program throughout the day.
