Business School hosts Professor Richard Rumelt from UCLA

Professor Richard Rumelt, Harry and Elsa Kunin Chair in Business and Society at UCLA Anderson School of Management, is currently visiting the Business School to present seminars and discuss research issues with staff and students. Professor Rumelt's was invited to visit the Business School by the Discipline of International Business, with funding from the Business School's Visiting Research Scholar program and the United States Studies Centre.
Professor Rumelt is widely regarded as one of the world's leading experts in the fields of competitive strategy and competitive advantage. The Economist profiled Professor Rumelt as one of twenty-five living persons who have had the most influence on management concepts and practice. McKinsey Quarterly described him as "strategy's strategist" and as "a giant in the field of strategy".
He is the author of Good Strategy/Bad Strategy - The Difference and Why it Matters, published in 2011 by The Crown Publishing Group (Random House). He is also a co-author of Fundamental Issues in Strategy - A Research Agenda and the author of Strategy, Structure, and Economic Performance.
In addition to his academic work, he has been a consultant to numerous firms, non-profit organizations, the Department of Defense in the US, and several governments.
