The University of Sydney Business School's ambitious and innovative Master of Business Administration (MBA) program has begun (Friday 1 March) with an "excellent quality cohort" and a new state-of-the-art CBD campus.
The flagship degree, to be delivered in a groundbreaking and exclusive partnership with the executive recruitment and talent management firm Korn/Ferry International, is expected to have a significant impact on corporate leadership in Australia.
"We have filled all of the available places in the program with an excellent quality cohort and we have a waiting list which reflects the Business School's outstanding reputation in executive education," said co-dean Professor Tyrone Carlin.
The program, says the Business School's MBA Director, Associate Professor, Nick Wailes, will be "very much business oriented and focused on the leadership skills needed to succeed in our dynamic 21st Century business environment".
"Business will work with us to shape the way people learn in our program," said Associate Professor Wailes. "Our MBA will produce a new generation of creative business leaders who are equipped with cutting edge knowledge, the practical ability to apply that knowledge and the personal skills to motivate and influence others."
MBA classes will be held in the Business School's new campus at 133 Castlereagh Street, which is in the heart of the city's vibrant business district. "The location is ideal for busy professionals and has been purpose fitted to enhance learning outcomes," said Associate Professor Wailes.
