Tutors honoured with Dean's Citations
10 May 2013
The University of Sydney Business School has honoured 35 tutors with the Dean's Citation for Tutoring for their work across 106 tutorials in Semester 2, 2012, at an event on 9 May.
The Citation celebrates the invaluable work of tutors in the Business School as measured by excellent student feedback on the "Teaching in Tutorials" survey.
Associate Professor Michele Scoufis, Director of Learning and Teaching in Business said, "This event is a celebration of all of our tutors - especially our award winners. The number of recipients this year shows how important they all are to our students."
"We are reliant on our tutors for the depth of support they give our students for their learning," said Professor Tyrone Carlin, Co-Dean of the Business School. "For this we are immensely grateful."
Chairs of Discipline Bradon Ellem (WOS), Eddie Anderson (Business Analytics) and Andrew Terry (Business Law) along with Director of BPU Leanne Piggott, Associate Professor Sue Newberry (Accounting), Catherine Sutton-Brady (Marketing), David Johnstone (Finance) and Cynthia Aung (Business Information Systems) were amongst those in attendance to show their appreciation of the high quality of teaching for learning that our tutors provide for the School.
Mixing Business with Arts, The Morrison Trio, three sisters who are currently studying at the Conservatorium of Music, provided the music for the event.
