Master of Management student, Lavinia Chrystal, has ended her Winter Olympics campaign with a strong performance in the slalom.
Chasing a top 30 position, Lavinia finished in 32nd place overall after two runs on the gruelling course at the Rose Khutor Alpine Centre near the Russian city of Sochi.
The 24 year-old alpine skier, who made her Olympics debut early last week when she finished 40th in the giant slalom, is a current Master of Management student at the Business School and holds a Sydney University Sports and Fitness (SUSF) Elite Athlete Program scholarship.
As she left for Sochi, Lavinia described her inclusion in the Winter Olympic team as "a dream come true".
Lavinia was one of four SUSF scholarship representatives to compete at the Sochi Games.
Attention now turns to the Winter Paralympic Games, where SUSF's Toby Kane is scheduled to compete for Australia in five alpine skiing events in Sochi. The three-time Paralympian won a bronze medal at the 2006 Torino Winter Paralympic Games.
The Sochi 2014 Paralympic Winter Games will take place from 7-16 March 2014.
