Global Executive MBA wins top NSW Marketing Award
28 Sep 2010
The innovative Global Executive MBA program offered by the Faculty of Economics and Business at the University of Sydney, has been recognised with the top award in the Education category at the Australian Marketing Institute (AMI) of Australia's 2010 NSW Awards for Marketing Excellence.
The AMI Awards recognise and reward outstanding examples of marketing programs in accordance with best practice criteria in 18 categories. The 2009 Global Executive MBA 'See What True Leaders See' campaign, developed in conjunction with Sydney-based The Garden Agency, was named the winner for its eye-catching creative and success in attracting participants in the midst of the global financial crisis. "By using all the challenges facing us, as the biggest opportunity, we positioned the Global Executive MBA as 'brand new' and innovative, built for a changing global marketplace and a new breed of future leaders", said Jodie Metaxiotis, Director of The Garden Agency.
Director of Marketing at the Faculty of Economics and Business, Linda Smith, said the team was thrilled when the announcement was made.
"There were a lot of very strong contenders in the Education category this year and we are delighted that our well thought out and visually exciting positioning and campaign, which has also delivered commercial success, has been recognised in this way."
The Global Executive MBA 'See What True Leaders See' campaign will now contest the national AMIA awards, with the national winner to be announced at a gala dinner in October.
