GEMBA graduates achieve their peak performance
Several Global Executive MBA alumni and participants have recently celebrated significant career success, following a series of high profile promotions throughout Australian and international business
Matt Comyn is now the Group Executive, Retail Banking Services, at the Commonwealth Bank; Geoff Kruyt has been appointed Chief Operating Officer for Maxxia, part of the McMillan Shakespeare Group and Damon Rees is Head of Run IT for Woolworths.
The common denominator that links Matt, Geoff and Damon is the University of Sydney Business School's Global Executive MBA. They have all either graduated in the past 12 months, or are currently completing their degrees - and all have since enjoyed significant career advancement.
Indeed, Associate Professor Nick Wailes, the Business School's Director of MBA Programs says that a large number of alumni have been given high profile promotions over the past year.
"Our Global Executive MBA graduates are now benefiting from the program and this is what it's all about," said Associate Professor Wailes. "Our goal is to provide industry oriented skills that will help our alumni to progress down their chosen career paths."
"For such a large number of our Global Executive MBA alumni to be offered promotions in their chosen industry is a testament to their hard work and abilities as true leaders in industry," Associate Professor Wailes said. "The Business School is proud of the success of our graduates, and we look forward to helping the leaders of tomorrow for many years to come, through our Global Executive MBA and new MBA programs."
