Information sharing is the voluntary disclosure by the provider to one or more recipients of pertinent facts, opinions, perspectives or advice. It is distinguished from repeated or general release of information often under obligations to report data. The recipient may either have actively sought the information or been provided with it as a courtesy by the provider. A research instrument has been created that explores a wide variety of factors and influences. The unit of analysis is the individual, and a positivist approach is adopted using quasi-experimental data collection from three laboratory activities. Statistical analyses of the data uses SPSS (v14) and Amos (v6).
