Roundtable: Poverty Alleviation and Profitability

This roundtable brings together 43 academics and practitioners to discuss and debate for profit businesses engaging in poverty alleviation. The Consul of Malawi, Trent Smyth, will deliver the key note address. Four experts, including academics and practitioners provide their views on the notion of poverty alleviation whilst making profits. The key note address and the expert presentations will provide a foundation for round table discussions on the following questions: What challenges face businesses that engage in this concept and what are the solutions for these challenges?
