Professor Dan Lovallo from the Discipline of International Business will present his latest findings about why normally, clear headed, rational managers with a wealth of information at their fingertips so often make absurd business decisions?
Dan is a Professor of Business Strategy within the faculty, a senior research fellow at the Institute for Innovation Management and Organization at the University of California, Berkeley and an adviser to management consultancy firm, McKinsey. His research is concerned with psychological aspects of strategic decisions and has appeared in the American Economic Review, Management Science and the Harvard Business Review.
